Visit the Gardens

Come and visit Astley Old Vicarage gardens. They are open to visitors throughout the year by appointment.

As part of our restoration and renovation project of the Old Vicarage, we’ve spent many hours working on these medium sized gardens. They are an integral part of this Grade 2* vernacular Georgian building, giving it a distinctive appearance and personality each season. Needless to say, caring for them now takes up most of our time. Each day we find something new to tender or bring back to life!

No two days are ever the same and, as any keen gardener will tell you, the garden is both an inspiration and a challenge.

The gardens comprise of both formal and informal planting and various statues. As you venture further into them, the gardens narrow to follow the woodland stream which runs through it.

There are six separate areas/rooms which gradually merge into the surrounding trees ending several hundred yards from the frontage to the property.
